Job Description

  • Lead the migration of user roles from legacy systems to new RightNow use cases, ensuring compliance with SAP security policies and best practices.
  • Analyze existing SAP roles and permissions, mapping them to the new RightNow roles while maintaining security integrity.

User Role Assignments:

  • Manage user role assignments across SAP functional areas, ensuring that users have appropriate access based on their job functions and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular audits of user role assignments to ensure compliance with SAP security policies and regulatory requirements.

Fault Finding and Conflict Resolution:

  • Collaborate with business units to identify and resolve issues related to SAP user access and role assignments.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot authorization-related faults within SAP, working with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
  • Identify and remove conflicts in role assignments to ensure that users do not have overlapping or conflicting access rights.

Compliance Checks:

  • Perform compliance checks to ensure that all SAP role assignments adhere to security policies and regulatory standards.
  • Document compliance findings and work with relevant teams to address any identified security issues.

Agile Methodologies:

  • Utilize agile methodologies to manage projects related to SAP security and authorization, ensuring timely delivery and adaptability to changing requirements.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration and project outcomes.

Future Scopes:

  • Prepare for the integration of S/4 future functional additions and Fiori applications by defining and implementing SAP authorization concepts that align with these tools.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in SAP security, S/4 Rise future functional additions, and Fiori to ensure that authorization strategies are forward-thinking and scalable.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP role mappings, changes, and migration processes.
  • Generate reports on SAP role assignments, changes, compliance status, and fault findings for management review.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on SAP security processes and tools.
  • Act as a point of contact for SAP authorization-related queries and issues.

Must have technical skill

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in SAP security and authorization management, specifically with RightNow and legacy systems.
  • Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and SAP security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Fiori applications is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP functional areas such as Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
  • Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Good to have Technical skills

  • SAP Security Certification.
  • Experience with SAP role migration projects and change management.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations related to data security and user access within SAP environments.
