Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance across our SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors implementations. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end test strategy, lead a team of QA engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, defect-free SAP solutions that align with business objectives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep functional knowledge of SAP, strong test management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and developers. This position is based onsite at our Hyderabad office.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, document, and execute the overall test strategy for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SuccessFactors programs, including unit, integration, system, regression, UAT, and performance testing.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts and testers, allocating work, reviewing deliverables, and managing performance.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices.
- Coordinate testing activities across S/4HANA Public Cloud release cycles (2H/1H upgrades) and SuccessFactors quarterly releases, ensuring readiness and minimal business disruption.
- Drive end-to-end integration testing across SAP modules and connected systems (CPI/BTP, third-party applications, payroll providers, etc.).
- Establish and maintain test automation frameworks using SAP Cloud ALM.
- Manage defect lifecycle through tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or SAP Solution Manager, including triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking.
- Report on test progress, quality metrics, risks, and go/no-go recommendations to project leadership and business stakeholders.
- Partner with functional consultants, developers, and business users during requirements gathering, design reviews, and UAT.
- Ensure compliance with internal QA standards, SOX/audit requirements, and data privacy regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of QA experience, with significant hands-on testing and leadership exposure on SAP programs.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (RISE/GROW with SAP) – including familiarity with the activation methodology, configuration scope, release cycles, and Fiori-based testing.
- Hands-on experience testing SAP SuccessFactors across one or more modules (Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Learning, or Succession).
- Demonstrated experience defining and owning test strategy at a program or workstream level – not just test execution.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration patterns (SAP BTP/CPI, APIs, IDocs) and experience with end-to-end integration testing.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, SAP Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM).
- Experience leading QA teams of 3+ members, including offshore/onshore coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced level).
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA Cloud or SuccessFactors.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium for SAP applications.
- Exposure to Agile/SAFe delivery methodologies.
- Prior experience in large-scale SAP implementations or rollouts in a global enterprise environment.
- Working knowledge of payroll, finance, or supply chain processes from a testing perspective.
