Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in end-to-end SAP QM implementations and rollouts, including Blueprinting, Requirement Gathering, Configuration, Testing (UT/SIT/UAT), Go-Live, and Hypercare support.
- Act as a Business SAP Process Consultant, translating manufacturing quality requirements into optimized SAP S/4HANA QM solutions.
- Configure and support core SAP QM processes, including:
- Quality Planning (Inspection Plans, Sampling Procedures, MICs)
- Incoming Quality Inspection (GR-based inspection)
- In-Process Quality Inspection
- Final Inspection
- Quality Notifications & Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Audit Management
- Define and configure Inspection Types, Quality Info Records, Certificates, and Usage Decisions aligned with procurement and production cycles.
- Ensure strong integration with SAP PP for in-process inspections, production order quality checks, and shop floor quality control.
- Work closely with SAP PM for maintenance-related quality notifications and equipment calibration processes.
- Integrate with SAP EWM to manage quality inspection during goods receipt, stock postings, and warehouse movements.
- Collaborate with SAP FI for quality cost tracking, scrap postings, and financial impact of quality issues.
- Configure quality master data including:
- Inspection Plans
- Master Inspection Characteristics (MIC)
- Sampling Schemes
- Control Indicators
- Task Lists
- Facilitate workshops with production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to capture business requirements and align system design accordingly.
- Manage quality-related processes across:
- Procurement (Vendor Evaluation, Incoming Inspection)
- Production (In-process & Final Inspection)
- Customer Returns & Complaint Handling
- Support engineering-driven environments by aligning QM processes with Tool Design, Production Planning, and Product Engineering requirements.
- Prepare Functional Specifications (FS) for enhancements, reports, interfaces, and collaborate with technical teams for development objects.
- Perform data migration validation and ensure master data accuracy during implementation and rollouts.
- Conduct testing cycles, resolve defects, and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Provide post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement support.
- Develop and maintain documentation:
- Business Process Documents (BPD)
- Functional Design Documents (FDD)
- Configuration Documents
- Training Manuals and SOPs
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing quality standards and best practices within Mechanical/Electronics industry environments.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong SAP QM Functional Consultant Profiles
- Mandatory (Experience 1) Must have 6+ years of total SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP QM (Quality Management).
- Mandatory (Experience 2) Must have worked as a Business SAP Process Consultant with strong understanding of quality processes integrated within manufacturing environments.
- Mandatory (Experience 3) Must have completed minimum 2 end-to-end SAP QM implementations and rollout experience (full lifecycle exposure including Blueprint, Configuration, Testing, Go-Live, and Hypercare).
- Mandatory (Experience 4) Must have strong integration experience with SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and SAP FI (Finance).
- Mandatory (Experience 5) Must have strong S/4HANA experience in SAP QM.
- Mandatory (Education Background) Must hold a degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering with exposure to Tool Design, Production Planning, or Product Engineering.
- Mandatory (Stability Criteria) Candidate must demonstrate career stability with minimum 2 years tenure in at least one organization (avoid frequent job changes).
- Mandatory (Process Knowledge) Strong functional knowledge of Quality Planning, Quality Inspection (Incoming, In-Process, Final), Quality Notifications, Audit Management, and integration with production and procurement cycles.
