SAP PS Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the configuration and deployment of SAP PS solutions in alignment with business requirements and SAP best practices
• Design and implement Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for structured project planning
• Configure project networks, activities, and relationships for effective scheduling
• Implement and support project costing functionalities including cost planning, control, and actual cost postings
• Set up project budgeting processes including budget creation, release, and tracking
• Define and maintain project settlement rules for accurate financial reporting
• Ensure strong integration between SAP PS and related modules including:
• FI/CO: for budget control, cost/revenue postings, and reporting
• MM: for procurement of project-related goods and services
• SD: for managing sales-related project deliverables
• HR: for resource planning and assignment
• Develop end-to-end solutions using SAP PS for project planning, execution, and monitoring
• Write detailed functional specifications for any required custom developments
• Work closely with ABAP developers to deliver and test custom solutions
• Apply appropriate project lifecycle methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) based on the project environment
• Participate in all testing activities including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot issues related to SAP PS
• Document configurations, user manuals, and system design decisions
• Potentially integrate SAP PS with external tools like MS Project or Primavera
• Stay current on SAP PS enhancements, best practices, and innovations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience working with SAP PS module
• Proven track record of successful SAP PS implementations and support projects
• Strong understanding of project management principles and SAP PS functionalities
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Bonus Points:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for PS
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology
• Integration knowledge with Primavera or MS Project
• SAP PS certification
• Industry-specific SAP PS solution exposure
