Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned SAP-PP/QM Consultant with 7+ years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules, along with strong domain expertise in production and quality management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing and optimizing SAP solutions in complex manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP Production Planning (PP) Implementation:
- Design, configure, and implement SAP PP solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, training materials, and user manuals related to SAP PP.
- Support SAP PP module integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, WM, PM, etc.).
- Perform system enhancements and troubleshooting for SAP PP processes.
- Conduct user training and provide ongoing support to end-users.
- SAP Quality Management (QM) Implementation:
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP QM processes, including quality planning, quality inspections, and quality control.
- Integrate SAP QM with PP and other modules for seamless quality tracking and reporting.
- Implement SAP QM functionality for quality notifications, inspection lots, and batch management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP QM processes.
- Customization and Configuration:
- Perform detailed analysis of business processes and map them to SAP PP/QM solutions.
- Configure and customize SAP PP and QM modules to meet client requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to define functional specifications and ensure successful implementation of business processes.
- Project Management:
- Participate in all phases of the project life cycle, including planning, design, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, IT, vendors) to ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Testing and Documentation:
- Prepare test cases and manage UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for SAP PP/QM implementations.
- Ensure system and business process documentation is up to date and complies with company standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Provide support for system upgrades and optimizations for SAP PP and QM modules.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance SAP functionality and business efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with business users, understand their requirements, and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in SAP PP and QM modules, with at least 3+ years in implementing SAP solutions.
- Strong understanding of SAP Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and related manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience in system configuration, customizations, and integration of SAP PP/QM with other SAP modules (MM, SD, WM, PM).
- Domain experience in production management and quality assurance processes in manufacturing or related industries.
- Skills:
- Expertise in SAP PP & QM module configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PP/QM integration with other SAP modules.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP certifications in PP and QM are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA PP/QM implementations and upgrades.
- Experience in the manufacturing, automotive, or chemical industries.
- Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) integration with SAP.
