Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced
SAP PP/QM Consultant with strong expertise in
Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) within
SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. The role requires hands-on experience in
process consulting, system configuration, and integration across manufacturing and supply chain processes.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize production and quality processes while ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules such as
Finance, Inventory Management, Procurement, Sales, and Warehouse Management.
Key Responsibilities Process Consulting & Implementation
- Provide process consulting and solution design in SAP PP and QM modules.
- Configure and implement Production Planning processes including:
- Make to Stock (MTS)
- Make to Order (MTO)
- Engineer to Order (ETO)
- Assemble to Order (ATO)
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Production Execution
- Variant Configuration
- Design and optimize Quality Management processes aligned with manufacturing operations.
Quality Management Processes
- Support and configure quality inspection processes including:
- Sampling inspection
- In-process inspection
- Final inspection
- External inspection
- Work on quality certification and calibration processes where applicable.
Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Ensure seamless integration between PP/QM and other SAP modules, including:
- Finance & Costing
- Inventory Management
- Procurement
- Sales
- Warehouse Management
- Support integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) when required.
Testing & Project Support
- Participate in Agile project ceremonies, including daily stand-ups.
- Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve defects during testing phases.
- Conduct training sessions for key users and support documentation.
Experience Required
- 6+ years of SAP experience in SAP PP/QM modules.
- Experience in at least 2 S/4HANA PP/QM implementation projects.
- Experience in 2 or more SAP ECC implementations, including at least one global template rollout project.
- Experience working with manufacturing industry processes.
Must Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP PP and SAP QM modules.
- Experience with S/4HANA PP/QM implementations.
- Strong configuration knowledge of:
- MTS, MTO, ETO, ATO processes
- MRP and Production Execution
- Variant Configuration
- Strong expertise in Quality Management processes and inspections.
- Experience integrating PP/QM with Finance, Costing, Inventory, Procurement, Sales, and Warehouse Management modules.
- Experience supporting UAT, system testing, and defect resolution.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) integration.
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
- Knowledge of calibration and quality certification processes.
- Exposure to global template rollout projects.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in complex manufacturing environments.
