This is a remote position.
Our client, a global healthcare company, is looking for a highly skilled SAP PP Consultant to help shape and deliver production planning solutions as part of a global S/4HANA program. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong business/functional process knowledge, with opportunities to contribute to global roll-outs and continuous process improvement.
This is a 6-month contractual position with likelihood of extension. Candidates must be able to support the client's preferred EST and/or CET time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with business users to understand production planning needs and translate them into practical SAP PP solutions
- Configure core PP areas such as Discrete Manufacturing, Process Industries (PP-PI), Production Orders, and Planning strategies
- Partner with teams across MM, QM, SD, and EWM to ensure processes flow seamlessly end to end
- Support testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT), helping resolve issues and keeping projects on track
- Contribute to data migration and validation for production planning data
- Document processes and share knowledge with colleagues and end users
- Provide training and post-go-live support so teams are confident using new solutions
- Take part in global roll-outs and help drive continuous improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP PP experience, including at least 2 full project implementations
- Strong skills in PP configuration (PP-PI, production orders, planning strategies)
- Experience working with related modules like MM, QM, SD, APO/PPDS
- Proven experience working in S/4HANA environments
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with both technical and business teams
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on making processes easier and more efficient
- Background in pharma, healthcare, or other regulated industries is highly preferred
