Role:SAP Integration

Location: Bangalore, Chennai -Work From office

SAP Integration Consultant Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting seamless integration between SAP and external systems using various SAP integration technologies. This role requires expertise in system integration strategies, tools, and technologies, including SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services. The consultant will work closely with functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of data between SAP systems and third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Integration Design & Architecture:

Design, implement, and maintain integration solutions between SAP and third-party systems, including legacy applications, cloud-based systems, and other SAP environments.

Analyze business requirements and design technical integration solutions based on SAP integration best practices.

Ensure data consistency and synchronization between SAP modules and external systems.

SAP PI/PO & Cloud Integration:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO) systems for seamless integration with external systems.

Implement and manage integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for cloud-based or hybrid scenarios.

Design and configure integration scenarios using various adapters and communication protocols (e.g., SOAP, REST, IDoc, File-based integration, etc.).

IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services:

Develop and manage integration scenarios using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services for real-time and batch processing.

Work with functional teams to configure IDocs and BAPI-based interfaces for SAP systems and external applications.

Data Mapping & Transformation:

Perform data mapping and transformation between SAP and external systems using integration tools like SAP PI/PO, CPI, or XSLT.

Develop and maintain mappings and transformation logic to ensure correct data formatting and compatibility across systems.

Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization:

Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, including data inconsistencies, performance bottlenecks, and communication failures.

Monitor the performance of integration flows and optimize processes for better performance and reliability.

Utilize tools like SAP Solution Manager, SAP Monitoring, and custom logging solutions to ensure smooth operation of integrations.

Documentation & Reporting:

Document all integration configurations, mappings, processes, and technical specifications.

Provide detailed integration reports and maintain documentation for future support and enhancements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with SAP functional consultants to understand business requirements and design integration solutions that meet business needs.

Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration and timely issue resolution.

Support & Maintenance:

Provide post-implementation support for ongoing integrations, including troubleshooting, system updates, and process enhancements.

Assist in SAP system upgrades and new module implementations, ensuring that integrations remain intact and functional.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

5+ years of experience in SAP integration, including expertise in SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and other integration tools and technologies.

Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and file-based integrations.

Solid understanding of SAP modules (such as SAP SD, MM, FICO, WM, PP, HR, etc.) and how they integrate with external systems.

Technical Skills:

Strong experience in configuring and maintaining SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) environments.

Expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for cloud-based integration scenarios.

Experience with integration tools such as SAP Data Services, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP API Management, and other middleware solutions.

Knowledge of SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, and HTTP/HTTPS communication protocols.

Strong experience with data mapping and data transformation (e.g., using XSLT, Graphical Mapping, or Java Mapping in PI/PO).

Familiarity with SAP HANA Cloud Integration for data processing and integration tasks.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve integration issues quickly and efficiently.

Ability to identify root causes of integration failures and implement long-term solutions.

Certifications:

SAP certification in SAP PI/PO or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) is a plus but not required.

Project Management:

Experience working on SAP implementation or integration projects, from gathering requirements to go-live support.

Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

Good to have Skills:

SAP HANA Integration: Knowledge of SAP HANA integration, particularly with SAP Cloud Platform and third-party applications.

Cloud-based Integrations: Experience with integrating SAP systems to cloud applications such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or other cloud-based systems.

Middleware: Familiarity with middleware technologies like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica for integration purposes.

Knowledge of SAP APIs: Hands-on experience with SAP API Management and the SAP Business Hub.
