SAP MM PP Consultant - Remote - Contract
We are seeking an experienced Techno-Functional SAP Consultant with strong expertise in Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enhancements, customizations, and change management, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Location: Remote
Start date: February 2026
Workload: 5 days a week
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP MM & PP Functional Expertise
- Configure and optimize MM and PP modules to support business processes.
- Manage master data (Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work Centers).
- Execute and monitor MRP runs, procurement cycles, and production planning.
- Enhancements & Customizations
- Design and implement SAP enhancements using user exits, BADIs, and custom reports.
- Collaborate with ABAP developers for technical specifications and development.
- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices during customizations.
- Change Management
- Lead impact analysis for system changes and upgrades.
- Prepare and deliver training for end-users.
- Document functional specifications and process flows.
- Techno-Functional Role
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving configuration and custom code.
- Support integration with other SAP modules (SD, FI, WM).
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
- Stay updated on SAP innovations and recommend relevant improvements.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM & PP modules (configuration and process flows).
- Experience with MRP strategies, procurement, and production scheduling.
- Hands-on experience with enhancements (BADIs, user exits) and custom developments.
- Ability to write and review functional specifications for ABAP development.
- Familiarity with SAP change management processes and transport management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
