Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
SAP MM/PP Consultant to support global supply chain and manufacturing operations for a hightech client. This is an
offshore role requiring strong functional depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work seamlessly with onsite teams in the U.S. The ideal candidate brings handson experience in
semiconductor, hardware, or hightech manufacturing environments and understands the complexities of fastmoving, engineeringdriven supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional expertise in SAP MM (Procurement, Inventory Management, MRP) and SAP PP (Planning, Production Execution).
- Support endtoend business processes across procurement, BOM management, production planning, shop floor execution, subcontracting, and inventory control.
- Collaborate with onsite teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver highquality functional specifications.
- Configure MM/PP modules including master data, MRP parameters, scheduling, batch management, release strategies, and production order controls.
- Work closely with technical teams on WRICEF objects, ensuring clarity and alignment with business needs.
- Support integration with related modules such as QM, SD, FI, EWM, and external manufacturing systems.
- Perform system testing, defect resolution, and production support following structured changemanagement processes.
- Analyze issues, perform rootcause analysis, and recommend longterm corrective actions.
- Document processes, configuration, and SOPs to support global operations.
- Provide offshore coverage for critical business cycles including quarterend, production cutovers, and supply chain events.
Required Skills & Experience
- 510 years of handson SAP MM and PP consulting experience.
- Strong functional knowledge of:
- ProcuretoPay (P2P)
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Production Planning (MTS/MTO)
- BOMs, Routings, Work Centers
- Production Orders & Execution
- Inventory Management & Movement Types
- Experience working with hightech or semiconductor manufacturing (preferred: OEM, EMS, contract manufacturing models).
- Familiarity with engineering change processes, component lifecycles, and highmix/lowvolume production environments.
- Strong understanding of integration points with EWM, QM, SD, and FI.
- Ability to write clear functional specs for enhancements, interfaces, and reports.
- Experience supporting S/4HANA or ECC environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with onsite U.S. teams.
