Role Overview
The SAP GTS Consultant will be responsible for the
implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP Global Trade Services across
Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Risk Management. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure
compliant global trade operations and seamless integration with
SAP ERP / S/4HANA systems.
Key Responsibilities:Functional & Technical:- Support SAP GTS modules including:
- Compliance Management
- Product Classification
- Customs Management
- Perform end-to-end integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA (BP, material master, and document transfer).
- Handle SPL screening, legal control, embargo checks, and license management.
- Maintain product classification data (HS Code, ECCN, preference processing).
- Monitor regulatory changes and support impact analysis.
Project & Delivery
- Gather and document business requirements through workshops.
- Participate in solution design and implementation activities.
- Execute SIT/UAT testing, manage defects, and support user training.
- Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Manage change requests, enhancements, and documentation.
Collaboration
- Work closely with business users and global trade compliance teams.
- Ensure smooth coordination across functional and technical teams.
Must-Have Skills- 46 years of relevant hands-on SAP GTS experience (implementation + support).
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP GTS Compliance Management
- SAP GTS Customs Management
- Experience with:
- SPL screening, embargo checks, and legal control
- Product classification (HS Code, ECCN)
- Hands-on experience in SAP GTS integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA.
- Experience in testing cycles (SIT/UAT), defect handling, and go-live support.
- Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Knowledge of global rollout and multi-country deployments.
- Exposure to Transport Management (TM) integration.
- Understanding of trade compliance regulations and processes.
