Your responsibilities
We are a global manufacturing organization seeking an SAP Functional Consultant for our Chennai plant. You will provide daily support across key SAP manufacturing modules, collaborate with local teams, and serve as backup for MES support while coordinating with global SAP/MES teams.
- Provide daily functional support for SAP PP, APO, and S/4HANA manufacturing modules.
- Work with production, planning, QA, logistics, and procurement to resolve SAP issues.
- Log, triage, and prioritize incidents and coordinate fixes with global SAP/MES teams.
- Lead functional testing and UAT for local changes and enhancements.
- Support S/4HANA changes, handle MES backup tasks, and deliver user training & documentation.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field, with 5+ years of SAP functional experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong handson expertise in SAP PP/APO and solid working knowledge of MM, WM, SD, QM, PU, and S/4HANA modules.
- Understanding of MES concepts and SAPMES interfaces, with basic exposure to IDocs, ALE, APIs, and ABAP debugging.
- Excellent English communication skills; Tamil proficiency is an added advantage.
- Experience collaborating with global support teams and working within ITIL-based processes.
