Mandatory Skills: SAP ISU Functional consultant ( Primarily Billing expert and must have an understanding of other ISU modules DM / EDM / AMI / CS / FICA )
Role Overview
The SAP IS-U Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) to manage utility business processes such as billing, invoicing, meter-to-cash, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze utility business requirements and map them to SAP IS-U solutions
- Configure and customize SAP IS-U modules based on business needs
- Work on end-to-end Meter-to-Cash (M2C) processes
- Support implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and production issues
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Provide user training and create functional documentation
- Integrate SAP IS-U with other SAP modules (FI-CA, FICA, SD, MM) and external systems
- Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met for utility operations

- Meter Reading
- Energy Data Management (EDM) (optional but preferred)
- FI-CA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable)
- Move-In / Move-Out / Disconnection / Reconnection processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP IS-U
- Hands-on experience in at least one full SAP IS-U implementation
- Good understanding of utility industry processes (Electricity/Gas/Water)
- Knowledge of FI-CA integration and billing processes
- Ability to write functional specifications and test cases
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
