Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
SAP FI Consultant with strong expertise in
SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and
localization requirements for India. The consultant will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP FICO Financial Management processes, ensuring compliance with Indian statutory and financial regulations. The role involves configuration, implementation, and optimization of key FI modules while collaborating with business stakeholders and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support SAP FICO Financial Management processes for enterprise finance operations.
- Configure and manage SAP FI modules including:
- General Ledger Accounting (GL)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Fixed Assets Management (AM)
- Special General Ledger (SL)
- Handle India Localization Functions, ensuring compliance with Indian statutory, fiscal, and tax requirements.
- Support the design and implementation of financial processes during the blueprint and configuration stages.
- Maintain multi-language support (English and Indian languages) for financial master data and reports as required by localization standards.
- Configure Fiscal Year and Period settings aligned with Indian calendar year requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to implement and maintain Chart of Accounts based on Indian financial accounting standards.
- Support General Ledger processes, ensuring adherence to local fiscal and tax regulations.
- Implement and manage Fixed Assets Accounting, including depreciation calculations aligned with Indian local depreciation rules.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful SAP FI implementation and integration.
- Provide troubleshooting, support, and continuous improvement for SAP FI functionalities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in SAP FI/FICO implementation and support.
- Strong experience with GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, and Special Ledger.
- Experience in India Localization and statutory compliance within SAP FI.
- Good understanding of Indian financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Experience with Chart of Accounts design and financial reporting structures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working in SAP implementation or transformation projects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with global SAP rollout projects.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Prior experience working with large enterprise clients.
