Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced
SAP EWM Functional Consultant to support SAP project implementations and act as a
process expert in warehouse management solutions. The role involves designing EWM process templates, supporting global rollout activities, and working closely with plant users and business stakeholders to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in
SAP Embedded EWM, end-to-end implementation experience, EWMERP integration, and warehouse process optimization.
Key Responsibilities Process Design & Solution Implementation
- Act as a process expert in designing EWM process templates for SAP implementation projects.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP EWM solutions.
- Perform gap analysis and identify new business requirements.
- Collaborate with process owners and business teams to design and implement solutions.
Implementation & Rollout Support
- Participate in end-to-end SAP EWM implementation and rollout projects.
- Support global template rollout methodologies and deployment activities.
- Prepare functional specifications for EWM developments and enhancements.
User & System Support
- Support plant users and key users during system testing phases including:
- Unit Testing
- Integration Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Assist in data migration activities including test migration and productive migration.
- Conduct training sessions for plant key users.
- Provide hypercare support after go-live.
- Troubleshoot system issues during testing and production phases.
Integration & Technical Coordination
- Configure and support EWMERP integration.
- Work with integration technologies such as IDOCs, CIF, and RFC for setup and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with technical teams for developments and system enhancements.
Experience Required
- 610 years of experience in SAP EWM consulting.
- Experience in SAP EWM 9.5 and S/4HANA Embedded EWM.
- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP EWM implementation projects.
- At least two projects in post-go-live support or full-time support roles.
- Experience working in automotive or manufacturing industries for at least 2 years.
Must Have Skills
- Strong experience in SAP EWM functional consulting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Embedded EWM.
- Experience in EWMERP integration setup and configuration.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management processes including:
- Inbound processes
- Outbound processes
- Warehouse operations
- Packaging processes
- Experience working with IDOCs, CIF, and RFC integration mechanisms.
- Experience preparing functional specifications for developments.
- Strong knowledge of production replenishment processes and EWM production integration.
- Experience supporting testing, data migration, and post-go-live hypercare.
Good to Have Skills
- Knowledge of Value Added Services (VAS) in EWM.
- Experience with automated warehouse processes.
- Exposure to SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
- Knowledge of decentralized EWM environments.
- SAP EWM Certification.
- SAP WM certification.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and business users.
- Good proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Education
- BE / BTech / MCA / MTech or equivalent qualification.
Travel Requirement
- Willingness to travel for short-term business trips (up to 4 weeks) both domestically and internationally if required.
