We are seeking a skilled SAP S/4HANA Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support both implementation and ongoing support projects. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing EHS processes, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules, and providing training and ongoing support to end users. The role requires expertise in incident management, risk assessment, compliance reporting, industrial hygiene, and hazardous substance management, occupational health and safety tailored for mining and heavy industries.

The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing EHS processes, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules, and providing training and ongoing support to end users.
Responsibilities
- Environment Health and Safety (EHS):
- Configure Incident Management to track and analyze workplace accidents, near misses, and hazards.
- Implement Risk Management and Safety Measures to ensure compliance with mining safety standards.
- Set up Occupational Health Management for employee health monitoring, medical checkups, and exposure tracking.
- Configure Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Monitoring for dust, noise, and air quality assessments in mining operations.
- Implement Hazardous Substance Management for chemical safety, MSDS documentation, and transportation regulations.
- Define Audit and Compliance Management processes to meet national and international safety standards.
- SAP S/4HANA Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) for safety inspections and equipment monitoring.
- Work closely with SAP HCM (HR) to track employee safety training, certifications, and medical records.
- Align SAP EHS with SAP MM and WM to manage hazardous material procurement, storage, and disposal.
- Integrate SAP EHS with SAP PP (Production Planning) to assess and mitigate process-related risks.
- Ensure compliance reporting integration with government regulatory bodies through automated workflows.
- Process Optimization:
- Optimize incident reporting and risk assessment processes to reduce response time.
- Implement mobile-enabled safety reporting for real-time hazard identification and resolution.
- Utilize SAP Fiori apps for safety dashboards, compliance tracking, and employee health status.
- Improve emergency response planning through automated workflows and alert systems.
- Implement predictive analytics for proactive risk mitigation in mining operations.
- Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for end users.
- Develop user manuals, SOPs, and knowledge transfer documents.
- Assist in change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes.
- Provide business process workshops to align SAP solutions with operational needs.
- Support and Issue Resolution:
- Provide L1/L2/L3 support for SAP EHS-related issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Troubleshoot EHS-related issues.
- Work on SAP OSS notes and enhancement requests as required.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and performance optimization.
- Guide business stakeholders on best practices in financial reporting and compliance.
- Support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA EHS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or Degree in Related fields.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience as an SAP EHS, preferably in the mining or manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 1 Implementation and 1 Support (AMS) experience is required.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA EHS modules, including integration with other modules.
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps, IDocs, and interface integration.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the mining or manufacturing industry is advantageous.
