Job Summary

We are seeking a sharp, dynamic & experienced SAP ECC FICO Consultant with 10-12 years of hands-on expertise in configuring and maintaining SAP ECC FICO modules. The ideal candidate should have a very strong fundamental understanding of AP, AR, & R2R processes and financial and controlling reports required for Indian reporting standards and the ability to configure them in SAP. Experience in SAP ECC or SAP HANA implementation and migration projects will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and maintain SAP ECC FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO).

To Assess Existing SAP configuration and study errors / issues impacting the financials

Screen every processing step in SAP for all transactions, Identify process validations in SAP to ensure accurate processing is performed

Design, develop, and implement financial reports to meet Indian statutory and regulatory requirements.

o Income Tax Assessment Closure Requirement

o Banking Compliance Reporting Requirement

o Management Reporting Requirement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of FICO processes with other SAP modules.

Work with Internal Audit team on identified gaps and risks and follow through for closure with correct procedures and processes.

Provide expertise in financial reporting, cost centre accounting, profit centre accounting, and internal orders.

Evaluate all change requests internally across modules for risk and impact analysis and authorize for development with the SAP Support Partner

Manage end-to-end implementation and migration projects, including future transition planned for SAP ECC.

Perform system testing, data validation, and user acceptance testing for configurations and custom developments.

Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP FICO functionalities.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP FICO modules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field is a must.

10-12 years of experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.

In-depth knowledge of SAP FICO configuration and customization.

Strong understanding of Indian financial reporting standards and tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS, etc.).

Thorough understanding with essential reports like Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, GST reports, and statutory audit reports.

Proven experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation and migration to SAP or running major optimization projects on ECC

Proficiency in data migration tools and methodologies.

Project Management silks and certifications are also desired.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP FICO Certification.

Knowledge of advanced reporting tools like PowerBI and its integration with SAP.

Familiarity with business processes in industries such as manufacturing & after sales support services.
