SAP Delivery Manager

The SAP Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of SAP programs and projects ensuring they are executed on time within budget and aligned with business objectives The role oversees project governance stakeholder management delivery quality and team performance across SAP functional and technical streams

Experience

Typically 10 years of experience in SAP with 35 years in delivery management

Experience in S4HANA transformation is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1 Project Program Delivery

Lead the planning execution and delivery of SAP projects ECC S4HANA SAP Cloud etc

Drive endtoend SAP solution delivery following defined methodologies AgileWaterfall

Ensure project delivery meets defined scope timelines cost and quality parameters

2 Stakeholder Client Management

Act as the primary point of contact for business leaders IT heads and external partners

Convert business requirements into structured delivery plans

Manage expectations resolve escalations and ensure transparency through structured communication

3 Team Leadership

Manage crossfunctional SAP teamsfunctional consultants technical consultants developers testers and BASIS

Provide guidance issue resolution support and performance feedback

Ensure resource planning and optimal team utilization

4 Governance Compliance

Define and enforce SAP delivery governance standards and controls

Track KPIs delivery health risks and dependencies

Conduct regular status reviews steering committee meetings and audits

5 Budget Financial Management

Manage project budgets forecasts resource costs and vendor spend

Ensure delivery profitability for service organizations or cost efficiency for enterprises

6 Continuous Improvement

Drive process improvements automation opportunities and best practices within SAP delivery

Support innovation initiatives including SAP modernization cloud migration and S4HANA transformation

Required Skills Qualifications

Technical Competencies

Strong understanding of SAP functional and technical modules eg FICO MM SD ABAP BASIS Security

Experience delivering large SAP implementations rollouts upgrades or AMS programs

Working knowledge of integration platforms and SAP cloud offerings

Managerial Competencies

Excellent project management skills PMP Prince2 or Agile certifications preferred

Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management

Ability to manage multivendor engagements and offshoreonshore delivery models
