Job Description: Sr. SAP ABAP Developer

Location: Bhartiya Centre, Thanisandra Main Rd, Bangalore

Employment Type: Permanent (Direct Payroll with Client – SMC2)

Experience: 5–8 Years

Work Mode: Hybrid (1 Day/Week Office)

Shift Timings: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Notice Period: Immediate / 15–20 Days Preferred

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in S/4HANA and advanced ABAP development. The ideal candidate will work closely with functional teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable SAP solutions in a global, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Design & Development

Collaborate with functional teams to gather and analyze requirements

Design and implement scalable SAP technical solutions

Develop and enhance SAP functionalities based on business needs

Build RICEFW objects, APIs, integrations, OData services, CDS views, workflows

Maintain detailed technical documentation

Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards

Conduct peer code reviews and manage transport processes

ABAP Development & Support

Perform advanced troubleshooting and system analysis across SAP modules

Handle performance optimization, debugging, and issue resolution

Execute data migration using LSMW, LTMC, BDC, BAPI

Develop:

CDS Views

OData Services

Fiori/UI5 applications

Implement enhancements using:

User Exits

BADIs

Enhancement Framework

Design and optimize SmartForms and Adobe Forms

Build integrations using IDocs, RFCs, APIs, BAPIs

Support SIT/UAT, regression testing, and production deployments

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

Strong SAP ABAP (RICEFW objects) experience

Hands-on experience with S/4HANA (ABAP on HANA)

Expertise in:

CDS Views

AMDP

OData Services

Data migration tools: LSMW, LTMC, BDC, BAPI

SAP Enhancements: User Exits, BADIs

SmartForms & Adobe Forms

Fiori/UI5 development

Integration: IDocs, RFCs, APIs

Good to Have

SAP CPI / SAP BTP exposure

Advanced Fiori/UI5 skills

Experience with Agile methodologies

Understanding of SAP modules: OTC, PTP, Finance, WM

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field

SAP Certifications (preferred):

ABAP with SAP NetWeaver

ABAP for SAP HANA

S/4HANA Development / Fiori/UI5

SAP Integration Suite (CPI/BTP) certification is a plus

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong hands-on ABAP developer with S/4HANA exposure

Experience in end-to-end SAP development lifecycle

Ability to work in a client-facing, global environment

Good problem-solving and debugging skills
