About the Role
As a SAP BW Consultant, you will work in an international environment where you play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing SAP BW solutions. You combine strong hands-on ABAP development skills with in-depth experience in BW Integrated Planning (IP) to deliver robust and scalable solutions that support business planning and reporting processes. You work independently while collaborating closely with global business and technical stakeholders. Your focus is on quality, performance, and translating business requirements into effective SAP BW solutions.
Location is: Bangalore (can be hybrid, upon discussion)
Your responsibilities
- Designing and implementing data models, transformations, and planning objects within SAP BW / BW/4HANA
- Developing, optimizing, and maintaining ABAP routines, function modules, and planning functions
- Configuring and enhancing BW Integrated Planning (IP) applications
- Ensuring seamless integration between SAP BW and ECC / S/4HANA systems
- Collaborating with international business teams to translate requirements into practical and scalable solutions
- Delivering high-quality documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer
- Supporting and improving existing BW solutions where needed
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with SAP BW, preferably BW/4HANA (classic BW is also acceptable)
- Strong ABAP development skills with proven hands-on project experience
- Demonstrated expertise in BW Integrated Planning (IP)
- Solid understanding of integration between SAP BW and ECC / S/4HANA
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with BW on HANA
- Exposure to Analysis for Office (AfO) or BPC
- Previous consulting or client-facing experience
