Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced
SAP BTP Technical Consultant to join our growing SAP team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud technologies, Fiori development, ABAP, and REST-based integrations. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable SAP solutions using modern cloud-based technologies while ensuring seamless integration with existing SAP and non-SAP systems.
The SAP BTP Technical Consultant will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that improve business processes and support digital transformation initiatives. The candidate should have a strong understanding of SAP architecture, cloud-native development practices, and modern SAP extension frameworks.
This position requires a proactive professional who can work independently, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of enterprise-level SAP projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to extend and enhance SAP applications.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications and extensions using SAP BTP services and tools.
- Build and maintain SAP Fiori applications to enhance user experience and streamline business processes.
- Develop and customize applications using ABAP and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) where applicable.
- Design and implement REST APIs and integrations to connect SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Work with SAP Cloud Platform services including application development, integration services, and database management.
- Support integration between SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and other enterprise applications.
- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture planning, and solution development.
- Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP BTP applications, integrations, and cloud services.
- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers when required.
- Maintain proper documentation for developments, integrations, and system configurations.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP BTP features, cloud innovations, and SAP development frameworks.
Required Skills (Must Have)
- Strong experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in ABAP development.
- Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrations.
- Knowledge of SAP extension frameworks and cloud application development.
- Understanding of SAP system architecture and integration concepts.
- Ability to work in Agile or project-based development environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Exposure to SAP Integration Suite or API Management.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration with SAP BTP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in SAP environments.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
- Experience working in large enterprise SAP transformation projects.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant SAP certifications in BTP or cloud technologies will be an added advantage.
