We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP & Basis Consultant to support the operation and integration of our SAP-based cloud applications. The role focuses on maintaining applications running on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), managing SAP Basis operations for private S/4HANA Cloud environments, and enabling secure integrations between customer S/4 landscapes and BTP extensions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP platform administration expertise with cloud-native operations and integration experience, ensuring our enterprise SaaS solutions run securely, reliably, and efficiently across multiple customer environments.
Responsibilities
SAP BTP Platform Operations
- Manage and maintain SAP BTP subaccounts, spaces, and Cloud Foundry environments.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications running on BTP Cloud Foundry runtime.
- Manage BTP services including:
- XSUAA
- Destination service
- Connectivity service
- Authorization & Trust configuration
- Cloud Identity Services
- Monitor application health, logs, and performance using BTP monitoring and logging tools.
- Manage service instances, service bindings, and environment configurations.
- Coordinate with development teams on CI/CD deployments and runtime troubleshooting.
SAP Basis Administration (Private S/4HANA Cloud)
- Perform Basis administration activities for private S/4HANA Cloud environments including:
- User and role management
- System monitoring and health checks
- Transport management
- System configuration and maintenance
- Monitor system performance, background jobs, and integration components
- Support system upgrades, patches, and maintenance windows
- Manage connectivity between S/4 systems and BTP services
SAP Integration & Connectivity
- Configure and maintain secure integrations between SAP BTP and S/4HANA systems
- Manage integration components including:
- SAP Cloud Connector
- Destinations and connectivity services
- OAuth and SAML authentication setups
- Support customer-specific integrations between:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP BTP applications
- External systems and APIs
- Troubleshoot integration issues across BTP, S/4, and customer landscapes
Security & Compliance
- Ensure platform operations follow security best practices and compliance requirements
- Manage identity providers, role collections, and access management
- Support audit and compliance efforts such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2 assessments.
- Implement and monitor secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises systems.
Platform Reliability & Support
- Monitor and troubleshoot production environments
- Manage incidents, service disruptions, and root cause analysis
- Maintain platform documentation and operational procedures
- Provide support for customer deployments and onboarding activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in SAP Basis or SAP BTP administration.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry runtime.
- Experience administering SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience configuring SAP Cloud Connector.
- Familiarity with SAP transport management and system monitoring.
- Experience troubleshooting SAP integrations and connectivity issues.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite / CPI (Good to have).
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 application deployment (Good to have).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for SAP applications (Good to have).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure (Good to have).
- Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS environments (Good to have).
- SAP certifications related to BTP or Basis administration (Good to have).
