SAP BTP Backend Developer

Backend Developer:

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum 2-3 implementations of experience in SAP BTP/ HANA/ CF/ SAP Native HANA

Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.

Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP in Cloud Foundry environment, including subaccounts, spaces, and service bindings

Proficiency in SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) using Node.js and JavaScript for backend services

Expertise in SAP HANA database, including schemas, modelling, HDI containers, and SQL for optimized persistent layers

Skilled in developing secure and scalable APIs using REST and OData with authentication and authorization via XSUAA and scopes

Experience with Cloud Foundry ecosystem, including manifest configuration, build packs, environment variables, and deployments

Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices on SAP BTP

Design and implement backend services and APIs using SAP CAP with Node.js, including service modelling with CDS and OData.

Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance backend services while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and agile to drive software quality and innovation.

Familiarity with Cloud Foundry deployment concepts (manifest.yml, build packs, service bindings).

Mandatory Skills:

3+ years of experience in backend development with proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, SAP HANA, SAP BTP and SQL

Expertise in SAP HANA database

Expertise in SAP BTP Neo or Cloud Foundry environment
