Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled SAP Basis / Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support the SAP landscape, ensuring system stability, performance, and security across application servers and database environments. The role involves administration of SAP systems, database management, and coordination with application and data teams.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain SAP systems including SAP ECC6, BW/4HANA, and related environments
- Manage SAP infrastructure including application servers, system landscapes, and transport management
- Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of SAP systems
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning
- Administer databases including SAP HANA, ASE, and MaxDB
- Manage SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) for data replication and integration
- Handle system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Ensure system security, user administration, and compliance
- Support patching, kernel upgrades, and system refresh activities
- Collaborate with functional and data teams to resolve system issues
- Maintain system documentation and operational runbooks
Required Skills- Strong experience in SAP Basis administration
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database
- Experience with SLT, ASE, and MaxDB
- Knowledge of SAP system architecture and landscape management
- Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with transport management and system refreshes
- Understanding of backup and recovery processes
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Good to Have- Experience with SAP BW/4HANA environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or monitoring tools
- Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery setups
