Role: Primary title — SAP Basis Consultant (Hybrid, India). We are hiring an experienced SAP Basis professional to join a hands-on SAP infrastructure team supporting lifecycle operations, upgrades, migrations and 24x7 production stability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Administer SAP system landscapes (ECC and S/4HANA) across DEV/QA/PROD — install, patch, kernel upgrades, system copies and refreshes.
- Manage database and OS-level tasks for SAP systems (HANA/Oracle) including backups, restores, performance tuning and HA/DR operations.
- Operate transport and change-management processes using TMS and Solution Manager; coordinate ChaRM and release activities.
- Troubleshoot production incidents (system dumps, traces, ST22, SM21), apply OSS notes and lead RCA with application and DBA teams.
- Plan and execute system migrations, OS/DB migrations and cloud migrations (lift-and-shift or re-platform) and support cutover and Go-Live activities.
- Automate routine operations (scripting), maintain monitoring and alerting, and implement security controls (SSO, SNC, RFC hardening).
