Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with strong SAP HANA expertise to manage, support, and optimize SAP landscapes. The role involves system administration, performance tuning, upgrades, migrations, and ensuring high availability of SAP systems across environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP HANA databases across DEV, QA, and PROD systems
- Perform SAP installations, upgrades, kernel patches, support pack stacks, and system refreshes
- Manage SAP HANA administration including monitoring, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Handle system copies, client copies, and transports (TMS)
- Perform SAP HANA migration and S/4HANA conversion activities
- Monitor system health, performance, background jobs, and interfaces
- Configure and manage SAP security roles (basis-level support) in coordination with Security teams
- Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
- Support SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and EarlyWatch alerts
- Coordinate with SAP functional, development, infrastructure, and vendor teams
- Provide 24x7 production support and handle incidents, problems, and change requests
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, SLAs, and audit requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration
- Strong experience with SAP HANA DB administration
- Hands-on expertise in:
- SAP ECC 6.0, S/4HANA
- SAP HANA Studio, HANA Cockpit
- Linux/Unix OS
- Experience in S/4HANA system conversion or migration projects
- Knowledge of SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) is a plus
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
- Good understanding of SAP security concepts (user admin, roles, authorizations – basis side)
Good to Have
- SAP Basis / HANA / S/4HANA certification
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager 7.2
- Exposure to automation, scripting (Shell, Python)
- Experience in client-facing or managed services environments

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle critical production issues
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and team player
- Willingness to work in shifts/on-call support if required
