Purpose of Position:
This position will play a key role in leading ABAP development activities for an SAP migration project. The associate will be responsible for guiding the technical team, ensuring quality deliverables, and supporting end-to-end development and integration across SAP modules.

Key Result Areas and Activities:
1. Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of ABAP developers throughout the migration lifecycle
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards
- Allocate tasks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of development components
2. SAP Migration Readiness
- Analyze existing custom developments and assess compatibility with S/4HANA
- Redesign or optimize ABAP code for migration to the new environment
- Collaborate with functional teams to validate migrated objects and processes
3. Custom Development & Enhancements
- Develop and enhance RICEF objects as per migration requirements
- Ensure performance optimization and clean-up of obsolete or redundant code
- Support creation and modification of SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts
4. Integration & Testing Support
- Assist in integration of ABAP developments with other SAP modules and external systems
- Support unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration and post-go-live phases
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all migrated and newly developed objects
- Ensure compliance with project governance, audit, and quality standards
Work and Technical Experience:
Must have skills:
- Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development across multiple modules
- Strong expertise in RICEF objects, enhancement techniques (BADIs, User Exits), and performance tuning
- Proven experience in SAP migration projects
- Proficiency in SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts, and ALV reporting
- Deep understanding of SAP Data Dictionary and debugging tools
- Experience with OData services and basic SAP Fiori integration
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including task allocation and code reviews
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Good to have skills:
- Experience with CDS Views and AMDP in S/4HANA for advanced data modeling and performance
- Knowledge of SAP Workflow and Web Dynpro for process automation and UI development
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and migration tools like SUM, DMO, or custom code migration tools
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps tools for SAP development
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 9+ years of overall experience in IT or SAP environments, with a minimum of 2+ years in SAP ABAP development
- Hands-on experience in custom development, enhancements, and integration across SAP modules
- Exposure to database concepts and performance tuning within SAP systems
