Insight Global is seeking a handson ABAP Developer to join a global consulting firm within their Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly proactive, comfortable operating as an individual contributor, and able to hit the ground running with minimal handholding. You will work alongside experienced consultants building and enhancing solutions within S/4HANA environments.
This is a remote role based out of India working UK hours. It is a 12 month contract and requires a one month notice or less.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support ABAP-based applications across finance-related products.
- Work independently on assigned technical tasks, delivering clean, efficient, and wellstructured code.
- Support S/4HANA public and private cloud extensions using ABAP.
- Contribute to solution design discussions and collaborate with functional and technical team members.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
- Create clear documentation and communicate progress effectively within the team.
MustHave Qualifications
- Hands-on ABAP development experience
- Strong experience developing custom applications using ABAP.
- Experience extending S/4HANA (public and private cloud) using ABAP.
- Proficiency across core ABAP areas including:
- RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
- CDS (Core Data Services)
- Classic ABAP development techniques
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Solid understanding of the full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
