SAP ABAP with Data Migration

This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional to act as a technical expert, driving the development, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions, with a particular focus on efficient data migration and system performance. You will be instrumental in transforming business requirements into robust technical specifications and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting: Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
• Planning & Estimation: Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the completion of build, system testing, and implementation phases of projects.
• Development & Coding: Transform business function requirements into technical program specifications to code, test, and debug programs using SAP ABAP.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop, code, document, and execute unit tests, systems, integration, and acceptance tests, along with testing tools for functions of high complexity.
• Performance Optimization: Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions, particularly for SAP integration activities.
• Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions. Mentor and coach junior developer resources.
• System Integration & Support: Ensure integration system activities, including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability, and archiving), meet all SLAs. Manage operational support, performing work during change windows and providing on-call support as required.
• Consulting: Provide consulting services on new and existing initiatives, leveraging your technical expertise.

Skills

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Proficiency in Data Migration methodologies and tools.
• Ability to act as a technical expert, identifying and resolving application issues promptly.
• Skilled in developing detailed project plans and accurate estimates.
• Expertise in transforming business requirements into technical program specifications.
• Proficiency in coding, testing, and debugging ABAP programs.
• Experience in designing and executing unit, system, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Demonstrated ability in performance tuning for SAP applications and integrations.
• Strong collaboration skills with technical teams.
• Understanding of technical architecture (scalability, availability, archiving) for integration systems.
• Capability to provide operational support including on-call duties.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach junior developers.
• Experience in providing consulting services on IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in Data Migration.
