We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP S/4HANA Consultant with 4+ years of relevant experience in ABAP, specifically with S/4HANA implementation experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise across core ABAP development areas including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Conversions. This role requires a good understanding of functional processes in various SAP modules and the ability to work effectively within both small and large teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess 4+ years of relevant experience in ABAP with S/4HANA implementation experience (mandatory).
- Develop and maintain ABAP objects in core areas, including:
- Reports: (e.g., ALV reports, interactive reports).
- Interfaces: (e.g., file-based, optional: IDOC, ALE, custom RFCs/APIs).
- Enhancements: (e.g., User Exits, Customer Exits, BADI, optional: BTE, Enhancement Framework implementations).
- Forms: (e.g., SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, optional: Adobe Forms).
- Conversions: (e.g., BDC, BAPI, optional: LSMW, LTMC/LTMC in S/4HANA).
- Contribute technical expertise on at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation project.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the Functional Processes in key SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Finance & Controlling (FI/CO), Plant Maintenance (PM), Production Planning (PP), and Quality Management (QM).
- Collaborate effectively within both small and large teams, adapting to various project structures.
- Participate actively in requirement review, translate functional specifications into technical specification documentation, and prepare unit test documents.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of technical requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
- Utilize good business communication skills while working on SAP implementation projects, effectively interacting with functional consultants and business users.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex ABAP issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience in ABAP.
- S/4HANA implementation experience (Mandatory).
- Proven experience in core ABAP development areas: Reports (including ALV), Interfaces (file-based, optional - IDOC, ALE etc.), Enhancements (User Exits, Customer Exits, BADI, Optional -BTE, enh. Forms. etc.,), Forms (SAP scripts, Smart forms, Optional - Adobe forms etc.), Conversions (including BDC, BAPI, Optional -LSMW etc.).
- Technical experience on at least one implementation project.
- Good understanding of the Functional Processes in Sales and Distribution, Material Management, Finance & Controlling, Plant Maintenance, Production Planning, and Quality Management.
- Experience of working in both small and large teams.
- Experience in requirement review, technical specification documentation, preparing unit test documents, and end-to-end testing of technical requirements.
- Good business communication skills while working on SAP implementation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
