Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Consultant with strong expertise in the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) to design, develop, and support modern SAP S/4HANA applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building Fiori-based, service-oriented applications using RAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications using SAP ABAP RAP in S/4HANA
- Build and expose CDS Views, OData services, and Business Objects
- Implement behavior definitions, validations, determinations, and actions
- Develop and enhance Fiori Elements applications
- Work on clean core and extensibility concepts
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Provide support for production issues and enhancements
- Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
- Strong hands-on experience with ABAP RAP
- Good understanding of S/4HANA architecture
- Experience with CDS Views, OData V4, and Fiori Elements
- Knowledge of BOPF / EML (preferred)
- Familiarity with SAP BTP and side-by-side extensions is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Good to Have
- Experience with SAP UI5
- Knowledge of S/4HANA upgrades or greenfield implementations
- Exposure to performance optimization and security concepts
