SAP S/4HANA ABAP Technical Consultant:

Location: Chennai
- Designs, develops, and optimizes RICEF objects, CDS views, and OData services in S/4HANA environments. Key responsibilities include translating functional specs into technical designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality technical delivery and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development: Design and develop custom solutions using OO ABAP, CDS views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and OData services.
- S/4HANA Optimization: Utilize Eclipse-based ADT (ABAP Development Tools) to push code logic to the HANA database layer for enhanced performance.
- Technical Specification: Analyse business requirements to create, document, and implement technical specifications for RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects.
- Integration: Develop API-based integrations, including RESTful services and SOAP, ensuring seamless communication between SAP S/4HANA and external systems.
- Testing & Support: Conduct unit testing, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide debugging/troubleshooting support for production issues.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize existing ABAP code to improve performance in the SAP HANA environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP, with at least 2+ years specifically in SAP S/4HANA.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, OData services, and Object-Oriented ABAP.
- Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, FI, CO.
- Tools: Proficiency in ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or computer applications.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
