We are looking for SAP ABAP Developerto join our IT Innovation Campus at
Bangalore location. The position will be responsible for the management of the SAP environment. His/her responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment & transport management.
Your Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements, evaluate alternatives, and consult the functional business analysts on the most appropriate technical implementation approach
- Work with core ABAP concepts which includes building reports using ALV, Function modules, dialog programming, BDC/BAPI, Data dictionary, Performance Tuning and Object-Oriented programming
- Implement and support on Customer exits, BADIs and Enhancements
- Design and Support Smart forms / SAP Scripts
- Implement and Support with Language translations in Smart forms and Reports
- Perform technical unit test
- Document Unit test scripts and technical specifications
- Work closely with SAP functional consultant to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality
- Support business analysts in debugging custom development objects and standard programs
- Working on Onshore / Offshore model
What You'll Bring
- Degree in an IT related discipline e.g. Informatics, Business and Information Technology or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-7 years hands-on development in ABAP and ABAP OO
- Must have expertise in core ABAP which includes reports using ALV, Data dictionary, dialog programming, BDC/BAPI, Customer exits, BADIs and Enhancements, Smartforms / SAP Scripts and Object-Oriented programming
- Knowledge of using common SAP interface technologies (RFC/BAPI, ALE/IDOC, Webservices/XML) and IDOC Error Handling
- Any exposure to ABAP on HANA, OData and SAP Netweaver Gateway would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of the SAP software toolset and familiar with SAP Systems concepts, practices and procedures
