Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in RAP (Restful Application Programming Model) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ABAP-based applications in SAP S/4HANA environments, leveraging RAP for cloud-ready and future-proof solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP S/4HANA applications using ABAP RAP
Design and implement OData services using RAP for Fiori/UI5 applications
Work on end-to-end ABAP RESTful programming, including unmanaged and managed scenarios
Optimize performance and ensure best practices in ABAP RAP development
Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Perform unit testing and support integration testing phases
Ensure adherence to SAP's Clean Core strategy by leveraging CDS Views, BOPF, and AMDPs
Work with SAP BTP, Fiori Elements, and UI5 for front-end integration
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
2+ years of experience with ABAP RAP in SAP S/4HANA
Strong knowledge of CDS Views, BOPF, OData, and AMDPs
Experience with Eclipse ADT for RAP-based development
Understanding of SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and its integration with RAP
Hands-on experience with performance tuning, debugging, and enhancements
Good knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 integration with RAP-based services
Experience working in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools
Nice to Have
Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for SAP development
Familiarity with event-driven architectures in SAP (e.g., Event Mesh, Webhooks)
