This is a remote position.
As an SAP ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications using the ABAP programming language. Working closely with other colleagues, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the organization's business requirements.
It's important to highlight that this position operates on an on-call basis rather than being a traditional full-time role. Please note that this position does not guarantee a minimum number of hours per week, but keep in mind we are looking for a longer-term collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Development: Design, code, test, and debug SAP ABAP programs and applications.
Develop and enhance custom reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.
- Integration: Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and implement SAP integrations with other systems.
- Data Migration: Design and implement data migration solutions to ensure seamless transitions during system upgrades or migrations.
- User Exits and Enhancements: Utilize SAP user exits and enhancements to tailor standard SAP functionality to meet specific business needs.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed ABAP programs.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure documentation aligns with project requirements.
- Testing and Debugging: Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure the stability of developed solutions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in ABAP programming language and experience in developing SAP applications.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP Workbench, ALV Reports, User Exits, BADIs, and BAPIs.
- Knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FICO, WM, etc.) and the integration between modules.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues in ABAP programs.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into efficient technical solutions.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies or project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor.
