Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ABAP/4 and Object-Oriented ABAP to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications. The role involves working closely with functional consultants, integrating SAP with non-SAP systems, and delivering high-quality technical solutions in an SAP S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities

SAP ABAP Development

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, and Workflows (RICEF/W)

Develop classical reports, interactive reports, and ALV reports using event handling

Work on Module Pool programming and dialog programming

Enhancements & Framework

Enhance SAP functionality using BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Enhancement Framework

Develop reusable ABAP OO classes and follow best coding practices

Forms & Output Management

Design and maintain SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms for business outputs

Integrations & Interfaces

Develop and support integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using:

RFCs (synchronous and asynchronous)

ALE / IDOCs

Web Services / Proxies / APIs

BAPIs, File-based interfaces

Data Handling & Conversions

Use LSMW, BDCs, and standard SAP tools for data migration and mass uploads

Create and manage Data Dictionary objects such as tables, views, search helps, lock objects, indices, and buffers

Testing, Debugging & Support

Perform unit testing and provide strong debugging and troubleshooting support

Analyze production issues and provide timely technical resolutions

Provide ongoing technical support for SAP applications

Collaboration & Functional Understanding

Work closely with functional consultants, solution architects, and business users

Understand business processes in at least one SAP module such as SD, MM, FICO, or WM

Translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Strong experience in Core ABAP and ABAP OO programming

Hands-on experience with RICEF/W objects

Expertise in IDOCs, ALE, BAPIs, BDC, LSMW, RFCs, and Interfaces

Experience with Enhancements, BADIs, and User Exits

Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Experience in SAP Script and Smart Forms

Working knowledge of SAP Workflow

Experience working in SAP S/4HANA environments

Optional / Good-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of asynchronous and synchronous RFCs

Experience with Web Services and API-based integrations

Ability to understand functional requirements and propose technical solutions
