Roles & Responsibilities
- As a SeniorABAPconsultant, should develop detailed technical design based on functional design, think through multiple development approach and design most appropriate development approach for a particular requirement.
- By using project Standards and Processes, review the technical design document and development work done by peers and juniors.
- Hands on expertise in determining and/or validating the development effort estimates.
- Assisting functional teams, when necessary, in the testing efforts and preparing test data.
- Ready to work in Shifts.
Requisition Description:
Technical ABAP
- Expertise in RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements, Adobe/Smart Forms & Workflow).
- OOPS: Strong Expertise in OO ABAP and developing custom programs using OO design patterns.
- Enhancements: BADI, Customer Exits, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, etc.
- Interfaces: EDI-IDOC, ODATA, Webservices, BAPI/RFC.
- Forms - Smart Forms & Adobe Forms
- Data dictionary All data dictionary objects including TMG events.
- HANA ABAP CDS Views, AMDP, RAP Framework.
- Able to write optimized and structured code and usage of New syntaxes.
- Strong debugging, performance Tuning, Provide RCA, working with SAP on incident management.
- Provide better technical solution designs, TDS preparation, AUT, Self/Peer review process.
- Should strictly adhering to Development Standards and Process.
Soft skills/Analytical/Leadership skills:
- Should have good analytical skills and strong interpersonal & communication skills. Should be having enthusiasm and energy to drive things in a volatile environment.
- Should be able to articulate well through various means such as presentation, meeting, group discussion etc.
- Should be a very good listener and lead a team in the past.
- Should know about various types of projects in SAP: implementation, support, and upgrade. Must have worked in all three types of projects.
- Should be good at effort estimation by considering complexity of objects. Should be well versed with making right assumptions while estimating the efforts.
- Very good awareness of entire SDLC and processes related to SDLC. Should also be good in visualizing and formulating process flow diagrams.
- Should be a proactive driver and ensure that status reports and produced in time and all development work is tracked as per expectations.
- Identifying and resolving issues by analysing programs and determining solutions.
- Assisting the team, when necessary, in the development process. This could be by doing some R&D on technical issues, creating Proof of Concept programs etc.
