SAP ABAP Consultant / Developer

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant / Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ABAP development, performance optimization, and integration with SAP functional modules. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality SAP solutions across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.

This role requires a clear, professional, and action-oriented approach while collaborating with functional teams and stakeholders. The consultant is expected to communicate clearly, confirm readiness, and highlight any blockers with practical next steps.

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP applications across multiple business domains
• Prepare clear and detailed technical specifications and develop required programs and development objects
• Work closely with functional consultants to ensure accurate requirement understanding and solution delivery
• Perform performance tuning, debugging, and code optimization to improve system efficiency
• Identify application and technology improvement opportunities to enhance existing processes
• Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects
• Lead or contribute to technical discussions and provide actionable recommendations
• Clearly communicate system readiness, dependencies, or blockers with next steps
• Explicitly state material or data availability issues and avoid vague or assumptive communication

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP
• Expertise in:
• ALV Reports
• BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs
• Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits
• Reports, Interfaces, Forms (SmartForms / SAPScript)
• Solid experience in:
• Performance tuning
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• Code optimization and best practices

• Maintain a clear, professional, and respectful communication style
• Avoid unnecessary technical jargon unless required for clarity
• If information or data is missing, ask for clarification instead of making assumptions
• Always confirm development readiness or clearly state blockers with actionable next steps
• Provide practical, solution-oriented recommendations when issues are identified

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Good collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Experience in long-term contractual roles is a plus
