SAP ABAP Consultant

Description

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Consultant to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in ABAP development, with a strong understanding of SAP systems and modules. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom ABAP programs and applications to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces in SAP environments.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing ABAP programs.
• Optimize performance of ABAP programs and database queries.
• Participate in system upgrades and migration projects.
• Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

Skills and Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming language and tools such as SAP NetWeaver.
• Experience with SAP modules like SD, MM, FI, or HR is a plus.
• Familiarity with enhancements and modifications in SAP including User Exits, BAdIs, and BAPIs.
• Understanding of data dictionary objects like tables, views, data elements, domains, etc.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 development is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance tuning in ABAP and database optimization techniques.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders effectively.
