Description
The Camunda Consultant will develop, and deliver large-scale workflow and process automation solutions using Camunda (Camunda 7/8).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of complex BPMN workflows, DMN decision models, and orchestration patterns.
- Architect and build workflow automation solutions using Java/Spring Boot or microservice-based integrations.
- Define integration patterns with APIs, databases, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and external applications.
- Drive best practices for error handling, retries, performance tuning, and long-running process design.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring for junior and mid-level consultants.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable workflow solutions.
- Support Camunda deployments in cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) or Camunda 8 SaaS.
- Contribute to solution architecture, high-level and low-level design documentation.
- Oversee UAT, production rollout, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and architectural governance standards.
- Conduct client workshops, demos, and technical discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-9 years of IT experience with 2+ years of deep hands-on expertise in Camunda 7 or Camunda 8.
- Strong command of BPMN 2.0, DMN, FEEL, workflow orchestration, and automation best practices.
- Excellent proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API development.
- Experience architecting and integrating distributed systems, event-driven workflows, and messaging platforms.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong understanding of Camunda external task patterns, job workers, connectors, and asynchronous patterns.
- Experience in troubleshooting performance issues, optimizing workflow execution, and scaling orchestration.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Camunda 8 Self-managed or SaaS clusters in production.
- Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Datadog, New Relic).
- Architectural frameworks (TOGAF, microservices patterns).
- Experience working in DevOps-driven or event-driven architecture environments
