Salesforce SFCC / OMS Technical Lead

Position Summary:

The Salesforce SFCC + OMS Technical Lead is responsible for designing and leading end-to-end eCommerce and Order Management solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C) and Salesforce Order Management (OMS). This role provides technical leadership across architecture, integrations, system orchestration, and high-scale retail order lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Architecture & Solution Design

Lead architecture for SFCC storefront, cartridges, and OMS order lifecycle orchestration.

Design scalable solutions covering product catalog, checkout, payments, order routing, split shipments, ATP, inventory checks, refunds, and exchanges.

Define integration patterns between SFCC, Salesforce OMS, ERP, WMS, and Payment gateways.

Ensure alignment with Salesforce multi-cloud standards.

SFCC (B2C Commerce) Leadership

Own storefront architecture (pipelines, controllers, OCAPI, SCAPI).

Optimize page performance, caching, and SEO.

Oversee promotions, checkout customizations, and inventory integrations.

Ensure SFCC best practices for code quality and deployment.

Salesforce OMS Implementation

Configure Order Summary, Fulfillment Order, Payment Summary, Return Order objects.

Design and implement orchestration flows, ATP logic, payment lifecycle flows.

Build automation using Flows, Apex, and Platform Events.

Integration & Middleware Leadership

Architect integrations between SFCC, OMS, ERP, WMS/3PL, and payment systems.

Lead event-driven and API-based integration patterns.

Work with middleware tools like Mulesoft, OIC, Boomi, and Apigee.

Delivery Ownership

Lead cross-functional teams (SFCC, Salesforce, QA, DevOps).

Estimate efforts, plan sprints, and manage release cycles.

Conduct code reviews and ensure E2E commerce-to-fulfillment flows.

Required Skills & Experience

814+ years in eCommerce & Salesforce technologies.

3+ years in Salesforce OMS implementations.

Strong SFCC (Demandware) experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, cartridges, jobs.

Salesforce Platform expertise in Apex, Flows, and Platform Events.

Preferred Qualifications

SFCC B2C Commerce Developer/Architect certifications.

Salesforce OMS Accredited Expert.

Platform Developer I/II.

Integration or Application Architect certifications.
