Salesforce Senior Backend Developer

A Day in the Life

You will lead Salesforce backend development and integration by:

• Leading the design and development of complex Salesforce applications, focusing on backend elements like Apex classes, triggers, custom objects, fields, and workflows.
• Developing and implementing advanced Salesforce solutions that are scalable, secure, and maintainable to meet evolving business requirements.
• Overseeing the development of integrations with external systems using Salesforce APIs, ensuring robust data flow and communication.
• Architecting and designing robust Salesforce solutions that align with best practices and business needs, ensuring long-term stability and performance.
• Reviewing and optimizing existing Apex code and configurations, ensuring performance, scalability, and adherence to Salesforce development standards.
• Creating detailed technical design documents and architectural diagrams to support development and implementation efforts for backend solutions.
• Providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Salesforce-related issues, including complex code problems and system errors.
• Collaborating with Salesforce support and other teams to address and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for Salesforce customizations, configurations, and backend development processes.
• Ensuring strict adherence to Salesforce best practices and governance policies, and continuously striving to improve development practices.
• Assisting production support teams for escalated incident resolution.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• A Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Salesforce development.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
• Proven experience as a Salesforce developer, with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, its architecture, and its limitations.
• Strong skills in Apex, Triggers, Workflows, Custom Objects, and Salesforce APIs for backend development and integration.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Commerce Cloud B2B or B2C.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, web development technologies, and DevOps practices relevant to Salesforce.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
