Role Description

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant/Developer responsible for hands-on implementation and optimization of Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud solutions. This role designs and builds journeys, supports data-driven personalization, and partners with agencies, Customer Success Managers, and internal teams to deliver compliant email, SMS, and omnichannel engagement programs. This is a mid-level, delivery-focused, client-facing individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions and discussions with clients, confidently articulating technical designs, integration strategies, and potential trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, set and manage expectations, and oversee day-to-day client interactions and resolve escalations.
  • Work with customers to understand key campaign parameters such as subscriber audience, program frequency, degree of personalization, and overall creative approach.
  • Drive hands-on technical implementation across various Marketing Cloud studios and products.
  • Translate client requirements into detailed, well-understood technical and functional documentation.
  • Manage the technical aspects of projects, including responsive email and landing page campaigns, custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.
  • Build solutions that utilize out-of-the-box features and modules in Salesforce Marketing Cloud as far as possible.
  • Provide guidance on the technical integration of third-party systems.
  • Ability to understand a project and deep dive to debug issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a small team of technical consultants and developers, overseeing their day-to-day work, ensuring code quality, and adherence to best practices.
  • Guide all the teams on best practices for code, naming conventions, and documentation.
  • Define project goals and timelines.
  • Liaise with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations.
  • Maintain a target billable utilization aligned to the role.
  • Working remotely, while collaborating with global teams for delivery across geographies. We may need you to be flexible with your work hours.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of deep, hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Interaction Studio, Einstein, Automation studio, etc.)
  • Expertise with building dynamic HTML Emails, Templates, Landing Pages, and reusable content blocks using mobile-first HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery.
  • Familiar with AMPscript and SSJS
  • Familiar with PSD to HTML conversion
  • Good to have knowledge on Agentforce Marketing
  • Knowledge of different integration patterns
  • Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Commerce and Community Clouds
  • Familiarity with building complex solutions with the use of Data Cloud and MC products like MCE, MC Personalization (formerly known as Interaction Studio), and MC Intelligence (formerly known as Datorama)
  • Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
  • Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
  • Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture
  • Familiarity with API(Soap and Rest) and SQL
  • Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating with other Salesforce clouds
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
  • Preferred Salesforce certifications
  • Good to have Salesforce certifications
