The Team

The Salesforce Developer/Administrator role provides on-going and strategic development tasks for Alvarez and Marsal Salesforce application. He/she participates in creation of technical specifications and contributes to project planning activities. This role is responsible for overall implementation of best-in-class application solutions in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components. The position involves creating technical specs, technical solutions and development efforts for small to midsize projects. For project-oriented development the developer must work as part of a larger team to understand and implement specifications, communicate technical issues, and actively participate in functional, technical and code reviews.

How You Will Contribute

  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to the CRM team. Strong knowledge of SDLC.
  • Custom Development: Build user interfaces, components, and backend logic using Apex (triggers/classes), Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Integration: Establish or maintain Salesforce connections with external systems and third-party applications using REST or other APIs, Informatica or other middleware solutions, or Software Development Kits
  • Automation: Create complex business workflows, validation rules, and automation using Flow and custom code
  • Data Management & Security: Design data models (objects, fields, relationships) and implement security measures (sharing rules, profiles, permission sets)
  • Testing & Deployment: Write Apex test classes to ensure comprehensive code coverage and manage deployments through the utilization of Azure Devops, VSCode, GIT and Salesforce CLI
  • User Management & Support: Creating and managing user accounts, profiles, and permissions to ensure employees have correct system access
  • System Configuration & Customization: Customizing fields, page layouts, record types, and apps to align with business requirements
  • Data Management & Integrity: Importing/exporting data and maintaining data cleanliness using validation rules to ensure a single, trusted source of truth
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Creating workflows, flow builders, and approval processes to automate manual tasks
  • Security Management: Setting up sharing rules, security protocols, and organization-wide defaults to protect sensitive data
  • Reporting & Analytics: Building dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for decision-makers
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Create QA scripts for QA purposes
  • Review and provide test case feedback
  • Align with Business team on UAT scripts
  • Common Roles & Duties:
  • System Maintenance: Debugging, optimizing, and upgrading existing Salesforce solutions
  • Collaboration: Working with administrators and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specs
  • Full-Stack Focus: Developing both frontend (LWC) and backend (Apex) functionality

Qualifications


  • Background: BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience with at least 5 years experience
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Apex, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, and the Lightning Framework
  • Salesforce Platform Knowledge: Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud
  • Development Tools: Familiarity with IDEs like VS Code (with Salesforce Extensions), Azure Devops, and Git
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator Certification, Salesforce Platform Developer I (mandatory) and Platform Developer II (preferred)
  • Preferred: Agentforce knowledge and experience
  • Project Planning: Provide level-of-effort estimates for projects and maintenance tasks across functional teams
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in verbal and written modes; able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain good client relationships while representing the CRM Team
  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively
  • Must be able to work well under time constraints
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned
  • Must be customer service-oriented; able to work independently
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary
  • Normal working hours are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST which will be 1:30 AM to 10:30 AM EDT
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
