Job Summary - Salesforce Data Cloud (Data360) Specialist
We are seeking a Salesforce Data Cloud (Data360) Specialist to support the design, configuration, and optimization of customer data capabilities within the Salesforce marketing ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in data modeling, audience segmentation, identity resolution, and customer data activation to support marketing campaigns and personalization use cases.
This role requires an individual who can think beyond execution and contribute to designing scalable data frameworks and segmentation strategies.
The specialist will work closely with marketing automation teams supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE), Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP), and Salesforce CRM to ensure reliable audience activation and data-driven campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
Data Cloud Architecture & Data Modeling :
- Configure and manage Salesforce Data Cloud data models, data streams, and unified customer profiles.
- Design and maintain data model objects, attribute mappings, and data relationships required for marketing activation.
- Support configuration of identity resolution rules to unify customer profiles across multiple data sources.
- Ensure data ingestion pipelines from CRM, marketing platforms, and external sources are correctly configured and monitored.
Calculated Insights & Data Enrichment
- Configure and maintain Calculated Insights within Data Cloud to derive business metrics and customer attributes.
- Develop aggregated metrics, engagement scores, behavioral indicators, and calculated attributes used for marketing segmentation and personalization.
- Optimize calculated insights to support campaign targeting, lead scoring enrichment, and lifecycle marketing programs.
Audience Segmentation & Activation
- Design and configure audience segmentation frameworks within Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Build complex audience segments using attribute filters, event data, behavioral signals, and calculated insights.
- Support activation of Data Cloud audiences to marketing platforms including MCAE (Account Engagement) and MCP.
- Validate audience readiness and ensure reliable segment-to-campaign activation workflows.
Data Quality & Governance
- Monitor and improve data quality, attribute consistency, and segmentation reliability.
- Support initiatives to reduce duplicate records, spam data, and inconsistent profile attributes.
- Ensure adherence to data governance and privacy best practices across marketing datasets.
Platform Integration & Optimization
- Work with marketing automation teams to align Data Cloud segmentation with MCAE campaign targeting and MCP personalization triggers.
- Support troubleshooting of audience activation issues, segmentation discrepancies, and data synchronization problems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize data flows, segmentation strategies, and customer profile enrichment.
Strategic Thinking & Collaboration
- Contribute to design discussions around data activation strategies and marketing data architecture.
- Provide insights on how customer data can be leveraged for better audience targeting, campaign performance, and personalization use cases.
- Collaborate with marketing, CRM, and technical teams to align data structures with marketing automation needs.
- Communicate data insights and segmentation logic effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Salesforce Data Cloud Expertise :
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data360) including data streams, identity resolution, and audience segmentation.
- Experience configuring Calculated Insights, unified profiles, and data enrichment logic.
- Understanding of data ingestion pipelines, data model configuration, and attribute mapping.
Audience Activation & Marketing Data
- Experience supporting audience activation into marketing platforms such as MCAE (Pardot / Account Engagement).
- Understanding of customer data structures, segmentation logic, and behavioral data modeling.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and campaign targeting frameworks.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, customer identity resolution, and segmentation frameworks.
- Experience working with large marketing datasets and customer profile attributes.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot data inconsistencies and segmentation issues.
Communication & Analytical Skills
