Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of large-scale, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on B2B Commerce Cloud and CPQ / Revenue Cloud.
As a Senior Salesforce Technical Architect, you will act as the trusted technical advisor for complex digital commerce and quote-to-cash ecosystems. You will own the end-to-end technical vision from storefront experience and product configuration to quoting, approvals, and order fulfillment ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture & Design (40%) :
- Lead the end-to-end technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations involving B2B Commerce Cloud and CPQ/Revenue Cloud.
Design Unified Solutions That Seamlessly Integrate
- Commerce storefronts
- Product catalogs
- Pricing and quoting engines
- ERP and backend systems
Develop Technical Architecture Documents (TAD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD) covering :
- Guided selling
- Multi-tier pricing models
- Approval workflows
- Subscription billing and renewals
Architect solutions for high-volume transactions, data synchronization, and performance optimization.
Evaluate, recommend, and govern AppExchange solutions and custom-built frameworks.
- B2B Commerce & CPQ / Revenue Cloud Leadership (30%) :
Provide Architectural Leadership On
- Salesforce B2B Commerce data model
- Tax, payment, and fulfillment integrations
- Custom storefront and headless commerce patterns
Design Complex CPQ Pricing And Product Models, Including
- Attribute-based pricing
- Usage-based and consumption pricing
- Advanced discounting and promotions
Own The Architecture For Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) Processes
- Quoting, contracting, renewals, amendments
- Subscription and billing integrations
- Define the scalability and growth roadmap for Commerce and CPQ platforms.
- Act as the ultimate technical authority on best practices for Salesforce Commerce and Revenue Cloud.
- Technical Strategy & Governance (20%) :
Establish And Enforce
- Architecture standards
- Development best practices
- Security and compliance guidelines
- Lead architecture review boards, technical governance forums, and code quality initiatives.
- Mentor and guide developers and solution architects on advanced commerce and CPQ patterns.
- Drive the technical roadmap, including modernization, performance improvements, and reduction of technical debt.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Integrations (10%) :
Partner with business leaders, sales, marketing, and product teams to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Architect And Oversee Enterprise Integrations With
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- CRM and third-party platforms
- Middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi
Clearly communicate technical trade-offs and architectural decisions to both technical teams and executive leadership.
Experience
Required Qualifications & Experience :
- 8+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem.
- 3+ years in a Technical Architect / Lead Architect role on complex, multi-cloud implementations.
Must-Have Domain Expertise
Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud :
- Proven experience architecting storefronts, cart/checkout flows, and catalog management.
Salesforce CPQ / Revenue Cloud
- Expert knowledge of CPQ data model (Products, Price Rules, Quote Lines, Amendments).
- Experience designing advanced pricing, discounting, and contract lifecycle solutions.
Certifications
Mandatory :
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect
Highly Preferred
- Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud Digital Developer
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist
- Salesforce Technical Architect (CTA) or currently pursuing CTA
Desired Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills :
Strong Expertise In
- Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Salesforce integration patterns : REST, SOAP, Event-driven architecture
- Advanced data architecture and large-volume data handling experience.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps & CI/CD tools : Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Git.
- Exposure to middleware platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent is a strong plus.
