The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for administering, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Salesforce environments across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. This role works collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams to support business processes, improve user adoption, maintain data quality, and ensure the platform continues to meet organizational objectives.
This role participates in platform administration activities, user support, automation development, reporting, data management, and deployment support while building expertise across Salesforce platform capabilities. The Salesforce Administrator contributes to maintaining platform stability, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the overall user experience through effective administration and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and other platform features.
- Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, permission sets, and access controls to ensure appropriate system security and compliance.
- Create, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce Flows and automation solutions to streamline business processes.
- Analyze business requirements and implement scalable Salesforce configurations that support organizational objectives.
- Perform data imports, exports, updates, and mass maintenance activities using Salesforce Data Loader, Import Wizard, and related tools.
- Monitor and maintain data quality, governance standards, and data integrity across Salesforce environments.
- Support deployment activities through Change Sets and coordinate release management efforts with development and project teams.
- Assist with testing, validation, and production deployment activities to ensure successful system releases.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, investigate user-reported problems, and provide timely resolution of support requests.
- Deliver user training, documentation, and ongoing support to improve Salesforce adoption and user effectiveness.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and platform optimization.
- Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and administrative procedures.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform enhancements, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job-related Experience
- Customarily has at least 5 years of experience administering Salesforce environments, including hands-on experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud implementations.
- Experience configuring Salesforce security models, user access, automation, reporting, dashboards, data management processes, and deployment activities using Change Sets and release management best practices within enterprise Salesforce environments is required.

- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce Flows and business process automation.
- Proficiency in Salesforce reporting and dashboard development.
- Knowledge of Salesforce security architecture, including profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing models.
- Experience using Data Loader, Import Wizard, and related data management tools.
- Understanding of Change Sets, release management, and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of Salesforce governance, security, and data quality best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to support end users and drive Salesforce adoption.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with AgentForce for Service Cloud preferred.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office, remote, or hybrid environment depending on business requirements. May require collaboration with global teams across multiple time zones. Ability to work extended hours or participate in after-hours support activities as needed to support project deliverables and operational requirements.
