Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite.

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Buildings. Electrification Business Main stakeholders are Panel Builders, Contractor, EPC & Distributors in Delhi / NCR Region, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Sales Growth & Business Development: Increase sales performance in the assigned territory by identifying new business opportunities, developing clear conversion strategies, maintaining a healthy opportunity pipeline, and meeting regional sales targets.

  • Customer Relationship & Account Management: Build and maintain lasting relationships with Panel Builders, Channel Partners, manufacturers, building and utility end users. Engage customers regularly to understand their needs, resolve issues, and act as a trusted technical partner throughout the sales cycle and post-sale.

  • Market Development & Product Promotion: Identify and develop new market opportunities, expand IEC 61439 partnerships within the assigned area, and actively promote Digitalization solutions and new ELSP & ELSB products through seminars, promotional events, and targeted marketing initiatives.

  • Sales Operations & Coordination: Manage administrative processes related to sales, coordinate material delivery and after-sales service for Panel Builders, support project management activities, and ensure effective cash collection.

  • Forecasting, Communication & Strategy Alignment: Communicate delivery timelines, payment terms, and commercial conditions in line with company strategy, provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence, and ensure smooth information flow between customers, marketing, and internal teams.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Industry Experience:5-7 years of relevant experience in the LV Switchgear industry with demonstrated technical and commercial skills.

  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of LV Switchgear products, applications, and market dynamics.

  • Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech or higher qualification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

  • Sales & Account Management: Demonstrated ability in direct sales, account management, and cross-selling of products and solutions.

  • ERP & CRM Proficiency: Practical experience with SAP, CRM tools, and SFDC (Salesforce).

  • Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication skills with presentation capabilities.

  • Negotiation & Customer Focus: Solid negotiation skills, customer-centric mindset, and a professional, solution-oriented positive approach.
