Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Sales Manager with 6–10 years of proven experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in hotel sales, business development, revenue generation, and client relationship management. Candidates from non-hospitality backgrounds will not be considered.
The role requires a dynamic professional with excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, capable of driving revenue growth while managing key business relationships and sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve room revenue, banquet sales, and overall business targets.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Travel Trade, Weddings, and Events segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, wedding planners, event organisers, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and property site inspections to secure new business opportunities.
- Drive revenue generation for guest rooms, banquets, conferences, events, and food & beverage outlets.
- Organise client engagement activities, familiarisation trips, and promotional events to enhance brand visibility.
- Represent the property at trade fairs, networking events, exhibitions, and other industry-related promotional activities.
Revenue Management & Market Analysis
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with Revenue Management and Reservations teams to maximise occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability.
- Prepare sales forecasts, monthly business reports, and performance analysis reports.
- Analyse sales data and recommend strategic initiatives to improve revenue performance.
- Ensure achievement of departmental budgets, sales targets, and profitability goals.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients and business partners.
- Ensure timely follow-up on all enquiries, proposals, contracts, and business communications.
- Handle guest concerns, escalations, and client feedback professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Uphold brand standards and service excellence during all client interactions.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports along with MIS documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, proposals, and sales activities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and departmental planning processes.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of bookings, events, and guest requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, grooming standards, and reporting procedures.
- Support marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and brand-building activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales or Marketing is preferred.
- 6–10 years of relevant sales experience within the hotel industry is mandatory.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing business relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
