Job Description

Experience Requirement

  • 9-12 years of experience in sales - B2B domain
  • Proven experience in sales and business development in relevant industries
  • Strong exposure to channel/distribution management (mandatory)

Qualification (Preferred):

B.E. (Chemical), MBA (Marketing)

  • Construction Chemicals

Region Coverage (Partly): West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast, Orissa, Nepal

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive achievement of monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across key markets and customer segments.
  • Expand market presence in Large, Medium, and Small customers across Plastics, Coatings, and Inks industries.
  • Develop and execute territory-level sales plans aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain strong focus on delivery commitment and target achievement.

2. Sales Planning & Review

  • Ensure execution of sales plans in alignment with organizational growth strategy.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective actions to bridge gaps.
  • Participate in periodic sales reviews and track key performance metrics for self.

3. Sales Process Management & Collections

  • Ensure adherence to defined sales processes and commercial guidelines.
  • Address customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams (technical/commercial) for resolution.
  • Ensure timely collection of receivables in line with agreed credit terms.
  • Monitor and control outstanding payments for the region.

4. Distribution & Channel Management

  • Strengthen and manage distributor network to enhance market reach and penetration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners.
  • Monitor distributor performance, inventory levels, and compliance with agreed norms.
  • Identify opportunities for onboarding new distributors and optimizing existing network.
  • Ensure effective channel management practices (must-have capability).

5. Market Development & Intelligence

  • Continuously update customer database and track market intelligence.
  • Analyze competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer requirements.

6. Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Technical teams) to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Facilitate seamless execution of orders, deliveries, and customer servicing.
